  Dr. Rick Gatteau is the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Stony Brook University. In this interview he describes the many decisions that needed to be made in student affairs and on campus as COVID broke, including the closing of the dorms and providing material and social support for students afterwards. He discusses his own experiences at home in lockdown and the subsequent atmosphere on campus as more students returned in fall 2020.
