From the Collection of R. Sherman Mills, MD; The chair belonged originally to Dr. Bernard F. Shea (1878-1953), who practiced in Brooklyn NY, but had a summer home in Stony Brook. It was then used by his son, Dr. A. Bernard Shea (1909-1990), who practiced in Stony Brook NY. He retired the chair in the early 1960s and donated it to a local collector. It is loaned to Stony Brook from the collection of the late, Dr. R. Sherman Mills.
