HAY, M.D., in of his of recommendation promotion to the rank of Associate Professor. I have known Don for the past four years in his research and writing on ECT and geriatric psychjiatry, and in his work with the Association for Convulsive Therapy. As Editor of Convulsive Therapv, I have often asked his advice about the suitability of articles submitted to the journal, and we have published some of his case material. He has an active clinical practice from which he has abstracted his experience in a useful teaching fashion. He has an interest in education, and has been an active member of numerous psychiatric organizations. He is willing to assume responsibility, and has been elected Executive Director of the Association for Convulsive on support Therapy in 1989. is a dedicated, enthusiastic, empathic, and intelligent psychiatrist. He has a well organized mind, knows the literature, and is exceptionally sophisticated with regard to ECT and the special problems of the treatment of the elderly. He speaks well at meetings, command and Don has a good of teaching techniques. I am pleased to recommend his promotion to the rank of Associate Professor of Psychiatry, and do so with enthusiasm.
