Yes, Fritz has ’eliminated’ an ECT Service, and yes, he thinks he is Jesus reincarnated, and he does not realize he has taken a first-class department under Stan Yolles and created a pseudo-neurosciece program with hardly a single psychiatric redeeming feature. No wonder our resident applicants are mainly from off-shore schools. But the elimination was accompanied by a substantial raise in my salary and no additional duties, so after being upset for a few weeks, I have settled down to treating my ’private’ referrals. The shift gives me a chance to look, once again, at my pharmaco-EEG experience, an experience which I have neglected for some time in favor of ECT. I hope the letter is helpful.
