I Lew is a well trained psychiatrist, with skills and interests in psychopharmacology and brain imaging. He has published more than 30 good scientific articles on a wide range of topics ~— PET scans, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, ECT, and clinical psychopharmacology. Lately, he seems tois have iocussed on imaging studies as his particular interest, and i believe he making useful contributions to that preliminary and complex literature. He is among a small band of young, articulate, and enthusiastic researchers in clinical psychiatry. In late 1986, when Fritz Henn sought a candidate to head our him Lew's imaging programs in conjunction with Brookhaven Laboratories, i sent of Reimann Washington Eric (like Lew, do that today), (and c.v. for i thought then brain imaging. in {17,15 a leader psychiatric recognize Lew as a dedicated and responsible researcher and excellent clinician. He is friendly, interested, and enthusiastic about his work. He lectures is well, and responds to questions with a relaxed and non-hostile demeanor.
