Perhaps the editor moved the article to a later issue. was sorry to hear that the recommendation for the McAlpin did not materialize; we should try again. I Meanwhile, I have kept up with Lothar's progress and plan to see him tomorrow, as I am coming to New York after a month's travelling. Turan and I presented our work at the international Pharmaco-EEG meetings in Kobe, Japan. He did well and he has many loyal students who attended the sesssions reliably and enthusiastically. My own impression (it was my first trip to Japan) was that I had never seen such a fine organization nor were my questions answered so quickly and so well in more than 35 years of attending national and international meetings. Our hosts were most solicitous and the meetings were quite good. Martha and l travelled about, from Kobe to Osaka/Kyoto/Nara by trains, finding them prompt, efficient and generally clean. Language was no problem, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. lam sorry to have missed the program in New York. My trip to the Netherlands (seven lectures at seven universities in five days) was an educational success, mainly because I learned much about the politics of medical care in a socialized society. It was enough to turn one into a confirmed reactionary. As for Australia, I you anyway for your help. My do not see myself getting there in the near future; thank best to Marcia.
