I Meanwhile, Al Freedman's rattling of the cages at the Society of Biological Psychiatry was successful, and Martha and I had a most pleasant occasion. We sat with Oliver Sacks (who gave a special lecture on "lmpulse") who is: l) delightful in a peculiar, idiosyncratic way; 2)looks very much like his cousin, Abba Eban; and 3) seems to be a much better writer and poet than neurologist. (I tried to get him to talk about anosognosia, exosomesthesia, aphasia, and the retardation of parkinsonism, but what he said was mostly poetry.) Still, a most delightful man. My best regards.
