There seems to be some continuing activity in Canada in ECT, both clinically and in research, and it is good to read of these things as they appear. Gabe Carlson has taken a firm hand of the child psychiatry service, opening the in-patient unit, and in encouraging the residents to work with her. Two of them are taking a fourth year child psychiatry elective and they enquired as to the feasibility of following the course of. methylphenidate therapy in ADD children with QEEG measures. lam pleased to cooperate with them, but asked that they do a literature review first. Considering the long standing interest in this topic, 1 was surprised by the dearth of reports. Yours are of some help. We will proceed, in any case. i will send the Annals back by separate mail.
