I enclose a number of recent reprints of our pharmaco—EEG studies, as examples of the power of this methodology. The study of flutroline predicted the clinical profile more accurately than preclinical studies; and it is my expectation that the same will be true for our study of 6-azamianserin. The pharmacodynamic study of brotizolam is a replication of Itil's findings, indicating the reliability of the methods. And the study of aspirin is a tour de force which we undertook as a challenge and which has turned out to be one of our most popular and controversial studies. As we discussed, I am in charge of a l5-bed acute admission and treatment unit and the CPD affective disorders clinic at University Hospital. 1 am interested in assaying new entities for their psychoactive properties. While it would be interesting to do so after their pharmaco-EEG profiles have been explicated, this is not a necessary step. I have facilities to assess entities in patients with severe depressive disorders, manic states, and acute sch120phrenia. I look forward to hearing from you.
