I cannot attend, but in good spirit, and recognizing that you will surely find something appropriate to record our debt to Morris, I enclose the check requested. Have a good time. Despite Morris' aversion to EEG, both then and now, experience has served me well and my laboratory, which has been dedicated to determining the effects of psychoactive drugs on the EEG continues to be productive. Lately, we determined the normal profile of phenytoin, aspirin, and are now working on some olfactory stimulants. The experience at Sinai also led me to examine HOT and after 25 years, I have put together a book which reports the clinical and theoretic knowledge. I am most delighted with the latest theories, which hold some promise for an improved understanding of the mode of action of this treatment. The book, "Convuslisve Therapy~ Theory and Practice" was issued by Raven Press in early 1979, and is already completed the first printing. (It has also received an international award of the Anna Monika Foundation for contribution to our understanding of endogenous depression.) my My .v: , best regards.
