We have two applications of these methods—and classify putative psychoactive agents, and to describe the phramacddynamics of the compounds. EEG to identify In our work, we use an IBM 1800 which was programmed mar machine language more than 12 years ago. I fear that these programs are of little merit to any investigator wishing to program modern machines. The logic of power spectral density is published in engineering volumes, particulary by Blackman and Tukey (Measurement of Power Spectra, Dover, N.Y., 1958) and that of period analysis by Burch et al (Ann. N. Y. Acad. Sci. 115: 827—893, 1964). The most recent descriptions of programs (HZI Research, for small computers were those written by Dr. T. 150 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, N.Y.) and Dr. D. M. Shapiro (2 Hemlock Drive, Kings Point, NY 11023). Dr. Shapiro is a computer consultant who programmed my machine and a number of successors, and you may wish to write to him for the availability of programs and their translation for your instrument and purposes.He would be particularly helpful in advising you as to the feasibility of doing BEG spectral work on small instruments of the kind that you describe.
