I enjoyed the dinner very much, and I am only sorry that my worries about my luggage may have depressed the party. Inge took excellent care of me, and I thank you both. I am the airport, my luggage arrived 1 hour before my plane for Paris, so all was well. ( When I flew from Paris to New York, my bag was missing at Kennedy and it arrived on a later plane that night 7 It was a wayward bag.) At reflection, I agree with the decisions made at our meeting. Should the new clinical data suggest that a study with detailed electrophysiology and psychology would be helpful, it can be organized at a later date. After some I met with Karl Rickels, and discussed the protocol he submitted. I think he will go ahead with his study and we came to an easy understanding regarding the IND and the details of the study. Should Merck decide to invite me to act as their consultant, he ddd not feel, as I do not, that there is any conflict. Walter has passed his U.S. ECFMG tests. He is busy writing two reports, and has received his NIMH awards- so I hope that he will be able to come back this fall to complete his studies.
