I have known Mr. Kahn for over a year, first in his role as a volunteer in our study programs and, since July 1, 1973, as a research assistant. While a student at this university, he volun- my teered to participate in neurophysiological and behavioral experi— in this laboratory. we found him a cooperative, bright, and reliable participant, and when we sought an additional research assistant, we accepted his application. ments Since July he has learned to record EEG and to obtain behavioral date from our ongoing experiments, in which volunteers receive psychoactive drugs and are observed for periods up to four hours following such administration. In addition, he has operated the IBM 1800 computer system, including the EEG data reduction and statistical analysis. He has carried out multi~ variate statistics and interpreted the results up to writing a completely documented report.
