I have given your output to Dr. Shapiro and
he has promised to give me a Christmas present of the program.
Should it be running. I will obtain these measures in addition
to my usual frequency measures in my next drug study and, hops~
fully, should have some information for the meeting in April.
Should it be possible, I would like to visit your laboratory
when I come to Europe in the late spring. I shall probably be
accompanied by one of my daughters, and I will use the occasion

analysis of

EEG.

Last month I visited Jiri's laboratory in Basel and was
very impressed with the organization, equipment, programs, and
enthusiasm of the unit. For the first time since 1966, I believe Jiri is happy and productive—~although he did complain
that he was tired of studying ergot and hoped that Sandor would
find a more stimulating interest.
Voita has assumed the responsibility of my former laboratory with enthusiasm and is doing a magnificent job. He has
apparently convinced the funding authorities to give him ad—
ditional equipment as well as to set up a laboratory in Copen—
hagen. I see him as busy as I must have been when I had that
position. There is something about life in New York City that
makes men run when others walk. Here, in the country, men walk
and I seem to have plenty of time to spend with my family, for

which

grateful.
