Present regulations are being interpreted that individuals individual labaratories are to be licenssd, rather than institutions. excepting hospital pharmacies. and In tddition to conplying with New York State rnguletione, applications must also be made to the Bureau of Earcotics and Dansaraua Drugs. The pwoper sequence for a scientist is to take application and obtain approval tram the flaw York State Dopartmcnt of Health. and based on this approval, apply to the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. (Depending on the project, separate additianal applications are ordinarily made to HIKE, FDA and other agencies which actually supply controlled substances).
