Our computing unit is now fmctioning- and my own facility is increased to a point where I have written some simple programs. The first project was to write a period analysis program, following the model of Neil Burch. This-has been done anditworks verywell. WearenwabletotakeanBBGandoarryoutallthe steps of analysis up to the final drafting of the graphs. We are now trying to deveIOp some simple style procedures that will handle the large number of calcula— tions and provide us with some simple measures of the changes of the EEG. The major advantage of this form of analysis is the apparent dependence of frequency and mnplitude, as well as the ability to reflect changes in frequencies higher ‘ " than 30 cycles per second. Of course. with such a sensitive method we are now faced with the problems of our amplifiers and find that the frequency responses of even the newest and best, is limited to a small band.
