Site Visit, 1/12/73

Beer Dr. Cole,
In response to the questions regarding the use of EEG
measures as predictors end criteris for change in the proposed
study, Activated EEG and DPH Response of'thale Delinquents, I
pertieipsted in the site visit on January 12. Prior to the visit,
we had the Opinion of Dr. Joyce Snell to sugplement our questions.

1. The qusntitstive EEG methods for the evslustion or
the slphs~chlorslose response are not yet available; nor ere they
likely to be svsilsble In the forseeshle future, thus slloving the
sdditionsl funds in the second year (pg h) to be deleted.
2. The technique was described, end the evelustion of the
records by members of the clinical steff st the University of Maryland
will provide, using simple deseriptise eriteris. ressonshle estimstes
of the ehsnges induced by the drug. While the test is to be repested.
neither the investigators nor the superintendent know whether the
patients will cooperste. In response to the question of testretest reliebility. Dr. Monroe indiested that these dots are not
