While we would be pleased to undertake a direct test of the narcotic antagonism of propranolol with heroin “challenges“, you should know that we have been enjoined from further research studies at Aetropolitan Hospital, and until'we relocate our laboratories, this interesting study will be deferred. we have had difficulty in obtaining payment animal for the toxicology studies of diprenorphine (J~5050), which we undertook in good faith in Hatch 1972. The assays are almost complete, lacking only the final review of the histological slides. Hr. Jacobs of your staff has been most helpful, and regretfully tells us that reimbursement can only be provided on completion and filing of the report (the “product”), and its approval by agencies of the City. I have communicated this to Dr. Woodard, the subcontractor, and it is difficult for him to accept such an interpretation of the contract. As a small business, he feels that he is in some diffi— culty, lacking any payments during the course of the work. Parenthetically, Perhaps, you can exert your good offices to assist Hr.
