Many of the men who ordinarily would be capable of contributing complain that they are over-committed with their working assignments, or have already contributed chapters to other volumes. My suggestion that the program of the ACNP be the focus of the volume seemed an acceptable solution. But as I started to plan that session, I find that my committments to EEG, ECT, and my move to Stony Brook occupy so much of my time that I cannot undertake that responsibility at this time. Fisher explains my dilemma. I still program, finder another chairman can form a fine volume for your series; and I hope that this may be useful to you. Meanwhile, please excuse me.
