Since the White House has entered into negotiations with Lederle and with yourselves, it is clear that our original understanding (that of supplies from Hull) is no longer valid. I have indicated to Dr. Jerome Jaffe that, in the face of office he holds, I can do no more than wait patiently for some resolution.
