Dear Monique,

Following our conversation yesterday, I am writing to
confirm our understanding regarding our chronic marijuana study.
The advisorv committee on psychotomimetics has recommended that
we not allow our Volunteer subjects to smoke marijuana daily for
more than seven consecutive days without an intervening 7 day

rest period.

This recommendation seems consistent with the experience
of the committee and we will modify the protocol in the experimental
design. Instead of "Subjects will smoke one active cigarette on each
of 21 consecutive days" we will plan,

Your cooperation is very much appreciated, and we
pleased to be able to undertake these studies, which seem so
