June 4 we tell you have had an opportunity to discuss the problem of continuing our studies of oral naloxone. Aware that our request for additional supplies for oral trials remains unfulfilled, we have requested support from the New York State Narcotic Addiction Control Commission for our independent purchase of naloxone from any available source. It is my understanding that Mallinckrodt Chemical Co. is the principal U.S. source of the compound. I have written to the President of that company, enquiring as to the possibility of their supplying naloxone for our use. I would appreciate ypun cooperation in this request. It would also be helpful if you could tell potential sources of supplies of naloxone. Many us of other thanks for your cooperation.
