He suggested I call Dr. Seymour Yolles, to see if his preparation could be assessed in clinical trials. I called him this week and found him most cooperative and enthusiastic about his preparation. He can make some samples available for human trial this fall; and for animal assay now. He seemed reluctant to deal with us directly, indicating that his supply was made under N.I.M.H. grants, and that rightfully, they should decide the next steps. He wished to first obtain your approval for release, as well as the permission of Dr. Sidney Cohen. Since you have been instrumental in setting up his program, be not useful for you to assume the responsibility of’assuring his cooperation as well as that of N.I.M.H. (Dr. Cbhen ?) to bring this method to early trial ?
