Dear Dr. Lehrer:

for your inquiry of 7/3/70. Enclosed are the
three protocols you requested, and I trust these are sufficiently
descriptive.
I have called our Research Administration, and Mrs. Lasker's
response is attached for your information. Perhaps Mr. Constantine
can be instructed to send the material as complete as submitted, and
Thank you

more promptly.

Sincerely yours,

Dear Mr. Thompson,

For a number of years we have supported the development
digital computer analytic system for EEG analysis, using an
IBM 1800 central processor. Our programs are of two kinds-- period
analysis and power spectral density. These run in real time and our
outputs allow for a variety of statistical techniques. Our present
approach is to determine drug effects by comparing the sequence of
changes in eny variable after medication by linear regression. Our
period analytic program yields data describing changes in frequency
bands, in amplitude, and in the variability of both; as well as changes

using an
IRIG tape. For our collaborators, we deliver either the data of the
primary analyses on cards or magnetic tape; or carry the analyses
through to the final stage using the school's IBM 360/40.
