I note with interest that he has extensive EEG experience, particularly for research purposes, in implanted electrodes in cats. We would be pleased to have Dr. Miura visit our laboratories, and would give him the opportunity to meet our investigators, who can discuss their work. Our focus this year is in the quantitative assessment of EEG changes following heroin, methadone, cannabis and various psychoactive drugs. Our methods are primarily period analysis, using a digital computer analytic system. We have no facilities for animal studies, and suggest that Dr. Mints could obtain a profitable experience with Dre. W. Martin (Lexington), Khazan (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) or Collins (Upjohn Co., Kalamazoo, Mich.) - each of whom is doing detailed animal studies. Unfortunately, Dr. Miura is applying late for a fellowship and space are already allocated until the academic year 1972~l973. for 1971-1972, as our funds I also plan to attend the meetings in Michigan in 1970 and would be pleased to discuss our studies at that time.
