Miss Ross joined my staff early in 1969 and undertook special training program in electroencephalography. She soon became experienced in this technique and exhibited sufficient independence and interest to asSume responsibility for studies in normal human volunteers, In these studies, normal subjects are given novel psychoactive drugs and the nurse (technician) and an assistant record and evaluate the behavioral and physiological effects of the drugs.' In these studies she has acted very much on her own and has yielded interesting and reliable data. a ' She has also assumed responsibility for a drug evaluation in anxious psychotic patients, completing the usual evaluation forms and maintaining records, interviewing patients and summarizing the data. In both these activities she has shown a sensitivity to small behavioral changes and maintained good relations with the subjects, patients and the staff. Daveeda is a cooperative, pleasant, enthusiastic and bright nurse. She has made important contributions to my programs this year, and I would be reluctant to.lose her participation. I recommend her highly for additional training, in the anticipation that I will be able to enlist her assistance in my programs in the future.
