my staff as a research fellow in lieu of military duty. He is
a registered conscientious objector. During the past 26 months
he has prograsslvely assumed greater and greater responsibility
in my research programs, evaluating psychoactive drugs in normal
voluntears. He has exhibited abllltias in interviewing and assessing
drug effects. both gross and subtle; he has developed a facility
in reading and analyzing the human electroencephalogram for
research purposes; he is capable of handling electronic equipment, including an lBM l800 computer; and most importantly, has
