At the 1961 World Congress of Psychiatry 1 chaired a symposium on BBC and woman PsychOpharnecology, which was summarized in the EEG Journsl, In subsequent years, meetings of psychiatrist ~ electroencephalographers have been held in association with 1963. the Society of Biological Psychiatry, the in rushingtoo and the latest, in association with the International EEG in San Diego. This latter meeting was held in my laboratories in New York on September 25, and was attended by 24 visitors from nine countries. He expressed interest in this suggestion and plonned to discuss it with the Executive Committee. of 1 EEG an writing to propose the establishment of a section and Psychiatry within the world ?sychiatric Association. It is my belief that there is general interest in the applications of this tool, developed 40 years ago by the psychiatrist, Dr. Hans aergor, and I believe such a section will not only be productive for the scientists directly involved, but also for the many psychiatrists of diverse interests who attend the world Congresses.
