I have reviewed the clinical data and find that the data is consistent with the following conclusions: The NBA was read with summary volume l. Thiothixene concentrate is an active psychoactive the patients exhibiting decreased psychotic symptoms. parkinsonism and sedation. These features were reported in all studies in which daily doses above 20 mg/day were used. The agent «- symptoms were equivocal at lower levels. 2. The two studies which compared the clinical efficacy of capsules thiothixene and oral concentrate reported similar clinical effects at comparable dosages. a - 3. Tables of the reported secondary effects of both patterns of forms (capsules and oral concentrate) show the same effects with a similar incidence. Furthermore. the dosages. clinical and secondary effects of the reports of oral concentrate are similar to our own studies of thiothixene in capsules reported in l967. and I would have no hesitancy in undertaking clinical trials of the concentrate in treating schizophrenia at dosages comparable to thiothixene capsu es. - Sincerely yours.
