Dear Dr. Meiselas:
The study program supported by the

New

York

State Narcotic

Control Commission, is focussed on the continuing evaiuation of
the psychopharmacological - rehabilitation treatment model. During
l967, emphasis was placed on an evaluation of dosage range.
tolerance and secondary effects of cyclazocine. naloxone and
tybamate; the role of heroin challenges in the evaluation of
dosage and of treatment; and in establishing a comparison of
methadone and cyclazocine. In addition with USPHS support, we
have evaluated cyclazocine as a clinical antidepressant;
determined its EEG profile in rabbits; and determined the EEG
profile of heroin, cyclazocine, methadone, naloxone and their
