Belgium Dear Dr. Giurgea: I have read your reprints with a great deal of interest, especially your chapter on the sequential drugs and your report at screening of antidepressant the CINP. Both seem to make the point quite well that the present prlgmatic methods are satisfactory in identifying compounds similar to established antidepressant agents. The real test will come in the identification of useful psychoactive agents which bear little resemblance to the compounds of today. In a review of our studies of cyclazocine as an antidepressant. I am taking the liberty of referring to your work as an example of the variety of tests used in the evaluation of new drugs today.
