H. l407 Cummings Drive Richmond 20, Virginia Dear Dr. Owens: have recently completed a preliminary report of our experiences with tybamate (beatran) in the treatment of narcotic We addicts. A It was that report is enclosed. our conclusion that the failure to observe the copy of reduction in drive for Opiates may have been related to the incomplete security measures on our ward. There was some suggestion that the tybamate was effective in some of our patients. We decided to replicate this study under better environmental controls. In addition, the tybamate seemed useful in withdrawal of patients addicted to barbiturates. For this reason we revised our protocol. ,.., «1., .
