As I mentioned, I am interested in having observers of the Mental Health Clinic share their experiences with my staff, as we struggle with the develoo» with the this Hospital. The meeting will take place at Metropolitan hospital. 97th Street and Second Avenue, on wednesday, hobemher 15, at l0:00 am. We will meet in the clinic on the lSth floor. The meeting will be quite informal with a ment of a program in , probable attendance of twelve to fifteen staff members. Following your request, I have asked Dr. Robert Sharoff to meet with you earlier at his office on hard 15A. This is one of the psychonharmacology study units and is dedicated to the study of new drugs in the treatment of addicts. He will share with you his extensive experience in many treatment attempts with this population. I am taking the liberty of enclosing a copy of the report which has just appeared in the J.A.M.A. Which describes our most recent experience. would be pleased to tell you of.our more studies that have been suspended because of.a shortage of medicatieo - a shortage which I hope is temporary for this work has been most exciting.
