It has been almost eight years since I participated in a study of convulsive therapy, but your suggestions for HMECT and the enthusiasm for unilateral ECT has stimulated me to under~ take another ECT study project. In my present facilities at Metropolitan Hospital, the number of cases treated with ECT are quite few and I have sought the cooperation of Dr. Lothar Kalinowsky to study cases at one of New York's largest treatment centers. Gracie Square Hospital is well known as a center ECT. for would like to obtain some support from the National Mental Health and in doing so I would like to be able to call upon you and Dr. Kaelbling as consultants. As the originator of MfiECT, I know of no~one more qualified to advise us in the most satisfactory method applying this technique.
