Dear Dr. Cole:

I am writing to request a change in the approved budgetary
allocations for alterations and renovations and for equipment in
the program MEI-13358 , "Quantitative EEG Studies in Psychopharmaoology."
As you 1mm, we are establishing a digital oanputer facility and in
the project planning last summer, the engineers recommended some
partitions and changes in electrical wiring as the only renovation
costs. In anticipation of the delivery of the system during the
first week in May, the engineers again reviewed the site and found
that the air handling systems were inadequate to the needs of the
computer configuration requested. They have reconmended that a

have also reviewed the equipment requests for this program
find that we have incorrectly estimated the needs during
the next eight months by $14,000.
Because the project has been delayed in its inception, there
funds
available in the personnel portion of this budget. We
are
are requesting, tpermission to 'reduce the personnel portion of the
budget by $10,000 and increase the equipment budget by $4,000 and
the allocation for alteration and renovation by $6 ,uoo. The proper

Because of the necessity to have these engineering changes
before the swarm I an miting directly. As we have
discussed, I will submit within the next few days a total re—
allocation for the project period 1/1/67 through 12/31/70 for
Mil-13358 for your consideration, but the changes requested in
this letter will be included as stated here.
