In his last letter, he indicated that he and two of his associates would be seriously interested in coming to New York for a two year period, to undertake and participate in a study program in schizophrenia. The protoccl, a. copy of which is enclosed for your consideration, is so remarkably like the program MH—ll38l, that I am stimulated to send this to you for your critique. . are going ahead with the develOpment of a relationship with Manhattan State Hospital and with the Department of Mental Hygiene of the State of New York to establish a study unit for the patients who are wansferred from the Metropolitan Hospital Carmmity Mental Health Center to a long tem facility.
