Dear Mr.

Wen

'

Since my visit to Geneva, the growth of our Docunentatim
Center has been rapid. Despite the fact that we are a small research
unit, the Institute has recently beams an integral part of the
University of Missouri. The Assistant Dean of the Medical School and
the chief librarian have encouraged us to continue in the establish—
nent of a mjor Doctmentatim Center for psychiatric literature.
During the past few months, the Muter Center at the Institute has
provided us with the basic cwputer program for the retrieval of
citatims using the principles of coordinate indeidng. We have recently
denmstmted the system, using slightly less than 1, 000 citations,
to the staff and their respmse has been encouraging.

It is our intention to continue to support the grmth of
this center using the available funds of the Institute during the
next year. During this period we will explore the possibilities of
support from the Federal Govermxent to our Center or to a. larger unit
to be established at the University of Missouri.
Recogmizing your
