As I left with Grey Walter, we had the opportunity to discuss your studies with implanted electrode and multi— focal frontal leukctomy in psychiatric patients. You may recollect that during the meeting Dr. Brazier's paper was read and she reported finding spike activity in certain depth electrodes when surface elec— trodes dmmstrated a desynchronization of rhythms. Her surface frequency Spectra clearly demonstrated patterns midi were remarkably similar to the results of the intravenous or oral adnu'nistration of imipramine. In your work, have you had the opportunity to administer imipranfine to one of your subjects with depth electrodes in locations similar to those described by Dr. Brazier, and if so, are the observations in the public domain? I would be grateful for copies of your reprint in this area especially that of the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry of 1961. Thank you very mch for your cooperation.
