I was very pleased with what I saw in Albuquerque, and the meetings in Santa Fe the best that I‘ have ever attended. I want to were thank you and Dinah for your hospitality and for the oppor— tunity to meet with some of your associates. You know that mg I am very much excited that you are participating actively in the University programs and I wish you all the luck. In Washington, I met Dm lQein. He appeared anxious, disheveled, and needed a haircut badly. He was attending the meetings of the Society for Psychophysiological Research, and except for the first half-hour, I saw him very little. He was pleased that we were able to emplete the Depression paper. In Washington, also, I learned that the Psychopharmacology service center was planning a ten hospital collab— orative program in the study of depression, and were going to compare the effects" of placebo, chlorpmmazine and an anti— parkinscn agent (perhaps pmcyclidine?) and imipramine. They hope to have 500 patients and I see this as a wonderful ex»tension and replication of our studies.
