To the heat of my knowledge, the Johns Hopkins Scale has cher
been described as such. The staff at the Johns Hopkins were
veins a symptom check list as part of their evaluation of psycho'thctapy in oat-patients. At the time we were setting up our
evaluation programs. at heard a talk by Dr. Frank concerning the
symptom check list. _wo wrote to him and he sent us a copy of the
schedule. Ho ran a number of trials in our patient population.

program. Subsequent to that, when we asked for information as to
whether the teat had been standardised in any other population.

a satisfactory answer from either Dr. Frank or his codworkcra. If
I recall correctly. they stated that they had not had any control
