Psychiatry is the rssaarch and training carter of the Division or
Hantal Diseases of Missouri. It was sstablishsd in Octobor. 1962.
with laboratory and clinical facilitiss for research. At the
prassnt tins, of 150 beds, we are utilizing 70 for research purpoass. Laboratories srs established in pharmacology, psychology.
and slactrosncaphalography. as wall as a computer cantor for both

statistical and EEG analyses. There is a apatialired psychiatric
rsssaroh library as s conponsnt part of the Institute. Animal
facilities ara now nearing completion.
In addition. that. is a fully qualifisd three-year psychiatric
rsaidancy training program at tho Institute, and a spatial train~

is affiliatsd with the Department of Psychiatry at Washington
