Psychiatry in the research_and training center of the Division of
Ecntol Diacncos of Missouri. It was established in October, 1962,
with laboratory and clinical facilitico for rcscarch. At the
otcocnt timc. of 150 beds, we are utilizing 70 for research pur~
poses. Laboratories are establiohod in pharmacology. psychology,
and electrooncophalography, as well or a computer center for both
statistical Inc EEG analyses. There in a specialiscd psychiatric
library as a component port of the Institute. Animal facilities
are now being built.

In addition, there is a fully qualified throo—ycar psychiatric

rooidoncy training program at tho Institute, and a spacial train~
ing program in clinical psychology is being established. Both in
tho rnaoorch programs and in the training programs, the Institute
is affiliated with tho Dopartnnnt of Psychiatry of Washington
ﬁnivoroity School of Medicine.
